A necktie constructed from two pieces of cloth X and Y that are joined together so that the X portion is the cloth for the front of the necktie and the Y portion is the cloth for the tail, neck and knot of the tie. The two pieces may carry different patterns, colours or effects so that once knotted the cloth on the front of the necktie may vary or be the same as the front of the knot. A knot point Z may be marked with discrete stitching on the Y portion of the necktie, to allow the wearer to align the tail of the tie with the knot point before tying the knot to allow the joining seam to be hidden behind or within the knot. A table may be provided to record the varying knot point Z distances for each knot depending on the type of knot and the weight of the cloth used to allow accurate tying of different knots. The tails of the necktie may also be made with variable tail lengths.
|
