<p>Desalination plant, especially for sea water, takes the saline liquid passed continuously as an electrolyte through a vessel (1) fitted with spaced electrode units (8,9), connected to a power supply. The water with a high salt concentration and the salt-free drinking water are separated for removal from the vessel. The electrodes are supplied with an alternating current, to generate a lateral alternating stream of oscillating ions and cations between them together with a simultaneous magnetic field from electromagnets, supplied by the same alternating current and frequency. The ions and cations are oriented towards the outflow for the saline concentrate, and the deionized water is aligned in the opposite direction to be taken out of the vessel. The vessel is of an electrically non-conductive material, with an electromagnet in the air gap (2) between the poles (19,20,N,S). The coil (4) and the electrodes (10,11) are connected to an alternating current generator (7).</p> |
