<p>A movable bridging system for conveyor belts has a dual function. In the normal setting the portal shaped structure takes items (2) from the end of one conveyor (1), moves them up to the portal on one hoist (3), transfers them over the portal and down the other side to transfer to a second conveyor (5). The layout allows access through the portal without interrupting the flow of goods. In the second setting the system can be fitted into a gap in the conveyor system, e.g. to replace a length of conveyor being serviced.</p> |
