A binderless storage phosphor panel or screen comprises a vacuum deposited layer of cesium bromide and europium on a support including a layer of amorphous carbon. The amount of europium dopant is 100 - 400 ppm versus cesium bromide. The support further includes a reflective auxiliary layer and a protective auxiliary layer. Independent claims are included for the following: (1) producing binderless storage phosphor panel; and (2) exposing an object to X-rays.
