PURPOSE:To print the frames of continuous scenes under similar conditions by determining exposures through considering the degrees of resemblance to the densities of other original pictures in an exposure control method for determining exposures through measuring the densities of the original pictures. CONSTITUTION:Original pictures are subjected to scanning and photometry, and various kinds of density information (average densities by color components, maximum densities, minimum densities, average densities of the upper, lower, right and left parts of image planes) are obtained and are beforehand stored in a memory. The differences in various kinds of density information values between the original picture to be printed and the original pictures adjacent to this are determined, their weighted average are calculated and these are set as the degrees of resemblance of both original pictures. The exposure is determined by considering the weighted average value for the degrees of resemblance of several frames before and behind the original picture to be printed. |
