PURPOSE:To optimize the afterglow action, by separating a generator from a battery when the afterflow action is conducted, and energizing a glow plug by changing the output voltage from the generator to a low voltage for the afterglow using a voltage adjusting circuit. CONSTITUTION:When a key switch 16 is closed, a switch 14 is closed so that the glow plug 2 becomes a quick preheating condition wherein it is energized with the voltage of the battery 5 via the switch, and the glow plug 2 is quickly heated to a prescribed preheating temperature by a quick preheating control circuit 17. When a starting signal is inputted to successively start the engine, the afterglow action is initiated. At this time the switch 14 is closed, so that the battery 5 and the load 20 are separated from a generator circuit, and the glow plug 2 is supplied with an electric power from the generator circut via a switch S2. |
