FASTENING STRUCTURE FOR USE AT LOW TEMPERATURE INCLUDING SECOND FLANGE SUPERPOSED ON FIRST FLANGE

PURPOSE: A fastening structure for use at a low temperature is provided to prevent impairment of sealing property due to lowering of a fastening torque caused by heat shrinkage. CONSTITUTION: A fastening structure for use at low temperature includes a first flange(11), a second flange(12a), and a bolt. The second flange(12a) is superposed on the first flange. The bolt fastens the first flange(11) and the second flange(12a) with a nut. The fastening structure is used at a temperature lower than an atmospheric temperature at which a fastening operation is performed. The second flange(12a) is a part of a container including a cryogenic coolant inside. The container is sealed by fastening the first flange(11) to the second flange(12a) with the bolt. The first flange(11) includes glass fiber reinforced plastic, stainless steel, or epoxy resin. The second flange(12a) includes stainless steel or glass fiber reinforced plastic.
