METHOD FOR PRODUCING HUMAN-DERIVED IMMUNOCOMPETENT CELLS

It is intended to provide an immunodeficient animal capable of producing hum an- origin lymphocytes, a human-origin lymphocyte and a process for producing an antibody specific to a human antigen. Namely, an immature immunodeficient mammal having human-origin hematopoietic precursor cells transplanted thereinto that can produce hematopoietic cells or immunocompetent cells originating in the above human; and a process for producing an antibody characterized by comprising collecting immunocompetent cells from the above animal, culturing the immunocompetent cells and then harvesting a human-orig in antibody from the culture thus obtained.
