PURPOSE:To obtain a high-performance magnet at low cost by carrying out annealing in a magnetic field in the manufacture of a rare earth-iron permanent magnet. CONSTITUTION:A permanent magnet is manufactured from R8-30atm% (wherein R is at least one of rare earth elements including Y), B2-28atm%, Co at least 50atm%, Al at least 15atm% and the rest consisting of iron or any other impurities which can not be omitted in the manufacture. At this time, annealing is carried out in a magnetic field, thereby obtaining a high- performance magnet at low cost. |
