PURPOSE: An in-house patent management system and method is provided to simplify procedures and to save manpower and time by integratedly managing a patent related process from an idea to a patent application within a company. CONSTITUTION: The system comprises a patent management server(110), a manager terminal(120), an inventor terminal(130), and a personal data storage server(140). The patent management server(110) authenticates a user, stores data needed in a user authentication, patent related data including patent progress data, enables a user to input patent data in a patent management database, and allows a user to search for specific patent data in the database. The manager terminal(120), accessible to the patent management server(110), enables a manager to manage each modules and data. The inventor terminal(130), also accessible to the patent management server(110), enables an inventor to request a patent application or search. The personal data storage server(140) offers personal data needed in a patent application or a user authentication.
