The invention relates to a method for controlling an electric pump drive motor of a power steering device. The motor can be operated by means of a high power step (A) and a low power step (B). Commutation between both power steps (A, B) takes place according to the current consumption of the motor. At least one further, average power step (C) is provided between both of the other power steps (A, B), power step (C) being able to commute according to the current consumption of the motor. |
