<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an antenna unit in which the concentration of generated magnetic fields is suppressed while avoiding a decrease in communication area and further to provide an antenna unit in which resistance loss is suppressed while avoiding the decrease in the communication area. <P>SOLUTION: A loop coil 3 is turned three times (wound three times) in the antenna unit 101. In the innermost side turn among the respective turns, a projecting part of a projection is formed toward the inside of the loop coil at a bent part on a surface including the loop coil. When a current is caused to flow to each turn, a magnetic field in a direction opposite from that of a magnetic field that is generated inside the turn where the projecting part is not formed, and generated outside the turn where the projecting part is formed.
