PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cleaning control method for a bag type dust collecting apparatus by which the gas concentration at the outlet of the dust collecting apparatus can be suppressed to a prescribed value or lower without generation of uneven current of the gas and powder in the dust collecting apparatus. SOLUTION: The cleaning control method for the bag type dust collecting apparatus comprising a filter 10 for filtering dust-containing air and a pressure air jetting nozzle 13 for backward washing attached to the filter for backward washing the filter 10 by compressed air jetted out of the nozzle 13 is characterized in that an optional row of filters F installed in the dust collecting apparatus 1 is selected and backward washed and then another row of filters F not adjacent to the former row of the filters F is successively selected and backward washed.
