<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve reliability in operation of an uninterruptible power supply system composed of a standby uninteraptible power supply device and a regular uninterruptible power supply device of commercial uninterruptible switching method. <P>SOLUTION: In the normal state of an uninterruptible power supply system 3, an inverter circuit 14 of a regular uninterruptible power supply device 10 supplies power to a load 5, and turns on an AC switch 36 of a standby uninterruptible power supply device 30, while an inverter circuit 34 waits in the mode for charging a storage battery 33. If the inverter circuit 14 comes into overcurrent condition, an inverter output breaker 15 is opened, with an AC switch 16 and a direct transmission breaker 17 being turned on, to prevent the inverter circuit 14 from damaged by overcurrent. Meanwhile, a commercial power supply 1 supplies power through each of direct transmission circuits composed of an AC switch and a direct transmission breaker, having higher overcurrent resistance. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
