<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus operation unit which can allocate a plurality of functions or programs on one key and can select the function which is simply registered in use. <P>SOLUTION: The apparatus operation unit comprises an operation part cover 2, an operation key 1, an operation key function switching plate 3 and a switching plate detecting means (sensor 7).
