PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable easy and prompt origination operation for a mobile terminal user when communicating or transmitting a mail. SOLUTION: A communication application 33 includes a means for enabling a portable telephone user to select a destination identification number by displaying an identification number directory included in the communication application 33 on the display section of a portable telephone, etc., according to an instruction from the user. Thereafter, when the user selects the destination identification number, the communication application 33 issues an origination request to a basic processing section using information related to the selected destination identification number as a parameter. In response to the origination register, the basic processing section 31 having received the origination request makes a communication processing resource execute origination.
