PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inkjet recorder of which the quality is hardly affected by an ejection direction of an ink droplet. SOLUTION: A carriage 44 mounted on a recording head 10 is moved in a scanning direction along a guide shaft 42. The supporting of the guide shaft 42 is achieved at a position where the rotational center is eccentric from the center of the guide shaft 42. A holding section 50 as the rotational center is provided on a position deviated from the center of the guide shaft 42. The holding section 50 is inserted into a bearing 51 provided on a frame of a printer 40 to be rotatable. The guide shaft 42 is supported so as to be an eccentric cam and is rotated by a motor (not shown in the drawing) so that a gap between the carriage 44 and a recording paper sheet 48 can be varied. As a distance from an original deposited position of a dot to the drifted position thereof on a recording paper sheet 48 caused by deterioration in the ejection orientation of an ink droplet depends on a distance between a nozzle for ejecting an ink droplet and the recording paper sheet 48, it is possible to prevent deterioration in image quality due to the abnormal orientation of the ink droplet by reducing the distance between the recording head 10 and the recording paper sheet 48.
