PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electromagnetic-wave shielding member having a high electromagnetic-wave shielding effect together with uniform shielding effect and uniform material properties, and a method of manufacturing the same. SOLUTION: The electromagnetic-wave shielding member is composed of a porous and granular fired ceramic containing tourmaline in which granular tourmaline is uniformly dispersed in a ceramic material having an electromagnetic-wave shielding property, and a granular fired ceramic for mixing mainly composed of a ceramic material having an electromagnetic-wave shielding property and not containing tourmaline.
