PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology that the temperature rise of the exhaust gas can be suppressed in an operational range in which an exhaust system of an internal combustion engine is possibly overheated by the temperature rise of the exhaust gas from the internal combustion engine, and both suppression of the temperature rise of the exhaust gas and driveability are compatibly ensured when the internal combustion engine is in a rapidly accelerated or decelerated state in the operational range. SOLUTION: A control of re-circulating a part of the exhaust gas to an intake system is stopped if the internal combustion engine is in a rapidly accelerated or decelerated state when the temperature rise of the exhaust gas is suppressed by commonly employing the control of increasing the fuel feed and the control of re-circulating a part of the exhaust gas to the intake system in an operational range in which the temperature of the exhaust gas of the internal combustion engine is high.
