<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lithium secondary battery having long life together with high capacity by using a metallic material alloying with lithium in a negative electrode which easily change the volume by charge/discharge. <P>SOLUTION: The lithium secondary battery comprises at least the negative electrode, a positive electrode, and an electrolyte, uses at least a material electrochemically alloying with lithium in the negative electrode, has an electrode laminated body formed by winding the negative electrode, a separator, a positive electrode, and a separator in a jelly roll shape, and an inactive material 402 to battery reaction is arranged in the central part, that is, a winding starting part of the electrode laminated body as reinforcement for suppressing deformation caused by expansion of the negative electrode in charging. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
