A carpentry tool is provided for securing a framing square to a workpiece such that the framing square can be used to measure and mark angles to be cut into said workpiece. The tool comprises a framing square member and a support member slidably engaged to one another. The support member c lornprises two parallel rectangular bars held together in a manner that allows the tongue and body of said framing square to be positioned therebetween. Such an arrangement creates a framing square having dual transverse edges, allowing for use of the square on either side of the workpiece without requiring disassembly. |
