Method and apparatus for evaluating front/rear collision risk between vehicles

The method involves determining scenario of transit situations between two vehicles and calculating anticipated following time of each scenario. The time is equal to a quotient of a relative distance between the vehicles by speed of a vehicle. The speed of one vehicle is maintained constantly and the speed of another vehicle is slowed down with constant acceleration according to the relative distance and speed of the vehicles. An independent claim is also included for a device for implementing a method of evaluation of a risk level of front-back collision between two vehicles.
