<p>The method involves exciting oscillating circuit using an impulsive signal, and measuring amplitude of oscillation of the circuit. A fault in a piezoelectric actuator (1) is detected if the measured amplitude differs from set amplitude of oscillation. The amplitude of the oscillation is defined as number of oscillations inside a predefined time window. An independent claim is also included for a piezoelectric actuator system.</p> |
