PAPER CONVEYING APPARATUS FOR A PRINTER TO PREVENT THE DOUBLE CONVEYANCE OF PAPERS

PURPOSE: A paper conveying apparatus for a printer is provided to prevent the double conveyance of papers by selectively switching the rotation direction of a separation roller using a friction spring with a low price. CONSTITUTION: A pickup roller(110) rotated and driven in the first direction picks up papers and conveys the picked-up papers. A separation roller(120) contacted with the pickup roller and driven and rotated together with the pickup roller separates the papers by a friction force with the papers by a sheet of the papers. A supporting axis(121) rotatably supports the separation roller in the first direction and the second direction opposite with the first direction. The supporting axis is rotated and driven in the second direction when the pickup roller is rotated. When a plurality of the papers are supplied between the separation roller and the pickup roller and a friction force is less than a certain value, a friction force providing unit(140) provides a certain friction force between the supporting axis and the separation roller so that the separation roller is rotated with the supporting axis. An interlocking unit(150) interlocks to the pickup roller, and provides a pressure force which presses the separation roller to the pickup roller.
