摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lithium-manganese-nickel complex oxide with high tap density, substantially not including different phases, usable as a lithium ion secondary battery positive electrode activator. <P>SOLUTION: Mixed aqueous solution of manganese salt and nickel salt is prepared so that a ratio of manganese atom and nickel atom substantially fulfills a general formula: Li<SB>1+X</SB>Mn<SB>2-Y-X</SB>Ni<SB>Y</SB>O<SB>4</SB>(wherein, -0.05&le;X&le;0.10, 0.45&le;Y&le;0.55), and the mixed aqueous solution and alkaline aqueous solution are concurrently and continuously put into a reaction chamber without using any complexing agent. The complex compound is co-precipitated while keeping the temperature and pH of the mixed aqueous solution within the range of 60&deg;C to 80&deg;C and 10 to 11 respectively, and filtered and cleaned by water. The lithium-manganese-nickel complex oxide is obtained by sintering the above compound. The above complex oxide and a lithium compound are mixed and sintered so that a ratio of the sum of manganese atom and nickel atom to lithium atom substantially becomes 2 : 0.95 to 1.10. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
