<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase the rigidity of a base bracket without increasing plate thickness of the base bracket in which a motor driving unit is arranged to improve quality. <P>SOLUTION: This opening and closing device of the opening/closing body for a vehicle is constituted in such a way that the motor driving unit 8 including a motor 6, a rotary drum 9 having a drum part 91 around which cables 10, 11 connected with the opening/closing body supported on a vehicle body so as to open and close are wound so as to wind and feed, and reduction gears 7 having an output gear 71 capable of reducing rotation speed of the motor 6 and transmitting rotation to the rotary drum 9 is arranged in the base bracket 5 fixed to the vehicle body. The rotary drum 9 is rotated through the reduction gears 7 by the motor 6 to open, close, and move the opening/closing body through the cables 10, 11. A gear part 93 meshing with the output gear 71 is provided in the rotary drum 9, and a first recessed part 54 in which a side face side of the gear part 93 of the rotary drum 9 and the output gear 71 is recessed is provided in the base bracket 5. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
