摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spacer ball type rolling mechanism which is improved in rigidity compared with a conventional spacer ball type rolling mechanism and reduces noise by achieving high accuracy. SOLUTION: A ball screw mechanism is provided between a screw spindle 11 and a nut 12. Spacer balls 15 retained by a spacer ball retainer 14 are arranged between effectively load supporting steel balls 13 of the ball screw. Each retainer 14 has spherical hollow space retaining portions 14a formed to hold the spacer balls 15. Both sides of the spacer ball 15 retained inside the spherical hollow space retaining portion 14a are exposed from the retainer 14 and are brought into contact with the steel balls 13 on its both sides. Further, the outside dimensions of the spacer ball retainer 14 are determined such that the rotation center of the spacer balls 15 approximately coincides with the circulation trajectory of the rotation center of the effectively load supporting steel balls 13.
