PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mattress, by which an aquatic life such as fishes survives even in a dry season and a fish-bank space can be ensured in the case of an installation on a riverbank regardless of a flooding/the dry season. SOLUTION: In the mattress, in which a plurality of stones 14 are installed on the riverbank or a river bed, a plurality of column materials 11 extended in the vertical direction and a plurality of unit structures 10 composed of crosspieces 12 extended in the lateral direction so as to connect each column material 11 and mounted on each column material 11 are arranged as partitions for the stones 14 so that the crosspieces 12 are brought into contact mutually.
