<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a microcomputer system which can recover a CPU from a runaway state in a short time. <P>SOLUTION: An error write detection circuit 4 detects that a chip select signal (CS) and a write signal (WR) are outputted to a ROM 3 which does not perform writing ordinarily in response to an erroneous write command from a CPU 2 in a runaway state, and an error write detection signal is outputted to an interruption control circuit 5 and a reset circuit 6. The interruption control circuit 5 outputs an interruption signal to the CPU 2, whereby the CPU 2 interrupts the processing being executed, and can be recovered from the runaway state.
