<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve user's convenience and to improve the profit of a parking lot proprietor. <P>SOLUTION: The parking lot reservation system is provided with an in-vehicle machine 16 having a radio communication means 18 for transmitting application information P1, P2 including vehicle ID, a bidding charge, a vehicle position and/or a maximum allowable charge, an own-vehicle position acquiring means 20 for acquiring the current position of the vehicle 12 or 13 and an input means 21 for setting the bidding charge and/or the maximum allowable charge, a sever 11 having a communication means 25 for receiving the application information P1, P2 and a parking lot database 26 capable of updating the vacancy information of a plurality of parking lots 14, 15 and a parking lot device 27 having a vacancy detection means 31 for acquiring the vacancy states of the parking lots 14, 15 and a communication means 29 for transmitting the vacancy information to the server 11.
