PURPOSE: To provide a production method for color filter by which a color filter having excellent characteristics of colors without voids or mixing of colors can be produced. CONSTITUTION: This color filter is produced by forming lots of frames on a light-transmitting substrate to divide the substrate into many filter elements and then injecting an ink of a specified color into each frame 10a to color each element. In this method, when each filter element is colored, the initial position to inject the ink into the frame 10a which partitions the filter element is varied so that the overlapped amt. of the ink in the frame 10a is varied.
