PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent other elements from being sacrificed when satisfying any one element of maximum capacity of a workpiece, a twisting and raising distance of a saw blade, and the whole width of a machine, in a band sawing machine. SOLUTION: A driving wheel 6 wound with a band-shaped endless saw blade 4 and a driven wheel 7 are provided to be faced on both sides of a cutting head 1. Either one of the driving wheel 6 and the driven wheel 7 is constituted of a plurality of small diameter wheels 7A and 7B, and the other is constituted of a single large diameter wheel 6. The diameters of the small diameter wheels 7A and 7B are made≥1/2 of the diameter of the large diameter wheel 6. The plurality of small diameter wheels 7A and 7B and the single large diameter wheel 6 are constituted of the driven wheels 7 and the driving wheel 6, respectively.
