PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printer that can precisely rewind a long sheet at a high speed. SOLUTION: This printer prints on a long sheet and comprises a conveyance means 117 for conveying the long sheet back and forth, a reading means 51 for reading information attached to the rear face of the long sheet, and a control means 113 for controlling the reverse conveyance speed of the long sheet by the conveyance means based on the information read by the reading means 51.
