PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To control the width of signals for controlling frequency sweeps according to signals to be measured. SOLUTION: This signal measuring apparatus is provided with a local oscillator 10 for creating local signals; a mixer 12 for mixing the signals to be measured with the local signals; a frequency sweep part 14 for sweeping the frequency of the local signals; and a sweep control part 30 for halting sweeps when the section of the presence of the signals to be measured is completed. The signals to be measured are carrier waves in burst waves, and the spectrum of the carrier waves is measured. The width of the section of the presence of the carrier waves can vary. Since sweeps are halted when the section of the presence of the signals to be measured is completed even when the variations occur, it is possible to control the width of the signals for controlling frequency sweeps according to the signals to be measured.
