PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a DC-DC converter capable of controlling the output voltage over a wide range. SOLUTION: When a step-up transistor S<SB>0</SB>is turned on and a step-down transistor S<SB>1</SB>is turned off, a current flows through a reactor L to accumulate electromagnetic energy and power is fed to loads R<SB>1</SB>and R<SB>2</SB>by discharging capacitors C<SB>1</SB>and C<SB>2</SB>. When the step-up transistor S<SB>0</SB>is tuned on and the step-down transistor S<SB>1</SB>is turned on, power is fed to the load R<SB>1</SB>from a DC power supply E and fed to the load R<SB>2</SB>by discharging the capacitor C<SB>2</SB>while charging the capacitor C<SB>1</SB>. When the step-up transistor S<SB>0</SB>and the step-down transistor S<SB>1</SB>are turned off, the capacitors C<SB>1</SB>and C<SB>2</SB>are charged while feeding power to the loads R<SB>1</SB>and R<SB>2</SB>from the DC power supply E.
