PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To drive a driven gear by distributing driving force from one driving source. SOLUTION: This gear drive mechanism comprises a motor, a driving gear to be driven by driving force generated by the motor, the pair of driven gears adaptable to be in the conditions of meshing and non-meshing with the driving gear, and a starting means for establishing the meshing condition of the other driven gear in the non-meshing condition with the movement of one driven gear in the meshing condition.
