There is disclosed herein an apparatus for supporting elongate sticks or rods which comprises a main body (12) having a base formed by a plurality of legs (16) and defining a base footprint with a first defined footprint area, whereby the body member (12) supports and restrains a plurality of arms (14) extending therefrom so as to be inclined relative to a vertical axis extending through the body, the apparatus being used for supporting elongate sticks between the arm members and any previously supported sticks balance thereon. There is also disclosed a method of testing human dexterity by selecting a plurality of elongate sticks and attempting to balance such sticks between the arms of the apparatus and any other sticks previously balanced on such arms.
