<p>A display device (1) for attachment to a crane (2) or like structure for the display of advertising (3) therefrom. The display device (1) preferably has a retractable screen (3), retracted by a motorised drive mechanism (4). The screen (3) is preferably provided with a weighted bar (5) along its lower end such that the screen (3) is maintained substantially vertically against the influence of wind. Preferably, light means (6) is provided to illuminate the screen (3). The screen (3) may be used to have laser images projected thereon, or, conventional advertising pictures may be displayed. A plurality of screens (3) may alternatively be displayed one after the other. The device may be solar-powered. The screens (3) may be adapted to rotate. In strong winds, the device (3) may automatically retract.</p> |
