PURPOSE: A curing resin composition is provided, which satisfies transparency, heat-resistance, surface hardness, and an adhesive property and is excellent in preservation stability and load resistance. And a protection film using the composition is provided also, which makes a thickness difference of a color filter flat excellently. CONSTITUTION: The curing resin composition contains: (A) a polymer having at least one selected from the group consisting of an epoxy-containing alicyclic structure represented by the formula 1, 2, or 3; (B) a cationic polymeric compound different from the component (A). And the protection film is produced by forming a film by using the curing resin composition and then heat-treating.
