PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for removing a frequency hopping interference in an OFDM(Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing) communication system are provided, which can remove the frequency hopping interference in the OFDM system and thus can improve the performance of the OFDM system. CONSTITUTION: According to the apparatus(306) for removing a frequency hopping interference in an OFDM communication system, a syndrome calculation part(308) checks an error as to a received data signal by calculating a syndrome of the received OFDM-modulated data signal. And an interference frequency detection part(310) detects an interference frequency component of a frequency hopping system causing an interference to generate an error in the above data signal. And an interference frequency removal part(312) restores the corresponding data signal by removing the detected interference frequency.
