METHOD FOR EDITING A PREFERENTIAL PAGE OF TELETEXT AND AN APPARATUS THEREOF FOR DISPLAYING CLASSIFICATION INDEX INFORMATION OF TELETEXT

PURPOSE: A method for editing a preferential page of teletext and an apparatus thereof are provided to display classification index information of teletext by selecting a teletext page editing mode, thereby displaying sequentially pages corresponding to a selected classification item. CONSTITUTION: A video signal processing member(130) modulates and detects a composite video signal among tuned broadcasting signals. A teletext decoding member(150) separates and decodes teletext information signal existing in a vertical blanking period of the composite video signal modulated and detected by the video signal processing member. When a preferential page editing mode is requested, a microprocessor(110) displays a classification item and a check mark through an OSD(On Screen Display) with reference to the index information of teletext decoded by the teletext decoding member and outputs pages of items selected among the displayed classification items.
