PURPOSE: A method of making tonic food by heating a Lespedeza bicolor extract and medicinal herbs, mixing with a chicken and fresh water and then heating is provided. The tonic food has a nutty taste and flavor as well as soft meat quality and exerts a tonic effect in the body. CONSTITUTION: Lespedeza bicolor whose skin is peeled is roasted on a charcoal fire, added with fresh water and heated over low heat for 10 to 20hr. The Lespedeza bicolor extract is added with Angelicae Gigantis Radix, Astragali Radix, Cinnamomi Cortex, Paeoniae Radix, Puerariae Radix, Kalopanax pictus(Thunb.) Nakai, Zingiberis Rhizoma, Zizyphi Fructus and Artemisia capillaris Thunb. and then heated 8 to 12hr, which is added with a chicken and a suitable amount of fresh water and heated for 1 to 2hr. In the process for producing the Lespedeza bicolor extract, deer bones are added. |
