PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transfer belt unit for effectively preventing image faults, such as color shift caused by the vibration during the rotation of a stepping motor used for a belt drive roller. SOLUTION: The transfer belt unit comprises a pair of rollers of a belt drive roller and a driven roller arranged at a proper interval, an endless transfer convey belt stretched on the roller pair, a plurality of transfer rollers arranged so that roller shafts are parallel in the endless transfer convey belt side by side, a pair of side plates for supporting the shafts of the roller pair and the plurality of the transfer rollers, and a bottom plate bridged in between the pair of the side plates. A stepping motor for driving the belt drive roller is arranged at the bottom plate, and the drive roller is driven with the stepping motor via a drive transmission gear supported on the side plate, and transfer paper is conveyed with the endless transfer convey belt.
