PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an inexpensive polypropylene-based resin composition high in melt tension and having moderate fluidity, and to provide a foam in the form of a sheet made from the resin composition, good in secondary processability, having neat appearance and high in heat resistance. SOLUTION: The modified polypropylene-based resin composition(E) is obtained by carrying out a melt kneading together at 170-270°C (C) 98.5-99.7 wt.% of a polypropylene-based resin composition and (D) 1.5-0.3 wt.% of peroxy dicarbonate. This resin composition E has a melt flow rate of 0.1-10 g/10 min, a melt tension of 3-20 g and a gel fraction determined by boiling p-xylene extraction of 0.01-25 wt.%. In this resin composition E, the polypropylene-based resin composition C comprises a total of 100 wt.% of (A) 90-10 wt.% of a noncrosslinked polypropylene-based resin 0.1-5 g/10 min in melt flow rate( ASTM D1238, at 230°C under a load of 2.16 kg ) and (B) 10-90 wt.% of a noncrosslinked polypropylene-based resin with the melt flow rate of greater than 5 g/10 min but not greater than 100 g/10 min.
