PURPOSE:To stabilize the contacting of an ultrasonic probe and to improve its precision by using a spherical bearing which uses fluid as a contacting medium for an ultrasonic probe rotating and pressing mechanism for allowing the ultrasonic probe to imitate an object surface. CONSTITUTION:The spherical bearing 8 which uses the fluid as the contacting medium is used for the ultrasonic probe rotating and pressing mechanism which allows the ultrasonic probe 7 to imitate on the surface of an object 6. In this case, the fluid as the contacting medium is supplied from a contacting medium intake 10 to the object surface through a feed water opening 12, the spherical bearing, and supply openings 13 and 13'. This constitution stabilizes the contacting of the ultrasonic probe and provides precise ultrasonic flaw detection. |
