FIELD: environmental monitoring for selection of areas with fouling of snow cover. SUBSTANCE: in correspondence with invention snow samples are taken, they are thawed, water formed by thawing is filtered, solid precipitate is dried and screened into fraction less than 1.0 mm. Screened part of each sample is analyzed with the aid of binocular stereoscopic microscope to detect magnetic and nonmagnetic particles by means of magnetized metal needle. Then percentage of man-produced components is established by which isometric lines are plotted and fouled sections of territory are highlighted.
