PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the inconvenience such as deformation, deterioration or the like of an optical fiber terminator which terminates an optical fiber without reflection. SOLUTION: The optical fiber terminator 10 has a light-receiving part 5 for receiving an emitted light L emitted from an end face 4b of the optical fiber 4, a light diffusion means 11 arranged between the light-receiving part 5 and the end face 4b of the optical fiber 4, and a housing 1 for securing an inside space 7 between the light-receiving part 5 and the end face 4b of the optical fiber 4, and is irradiated on the light-receiving part 5 in a state with the light L emitted from the end face 4b of the optical fiber 4 being diffused with the light diffusion means 11. Thereby since the light L emitted from the optical fiber 4 is diffused over a wide area and can receive the light, local overheating due to concentrated irradiation is suppressed, and even if the light L is , for instance, a high output laser, the optical fiber terminator 10 can be used stably over a long period.
