<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To acquire a tensile force detection apparatus capable of precisely detecting a tensile force acting on a belt member. <P>SOLUTION: In the tensile force detection apparatus 10, when a tensile force Ft acts on a webbing belt 12, a bag-like member 18 in a sealed bag shape formed into an approximately spherical shell shape having a circular cross section is pressed, crushed, and deformed to its center side by a pressing protrusion 26 of the webbing belt 12 to raise the internal pressure of the bag-like member 18 according to the tensile force Ft.
