<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording sheet for ink jet printing which has excellent storage stability against air and light. <P>SOLUTION: In this recording sheet for ink jet recording, at least one ink-receptive layer containing a binder and at least one nanocrystalline, nanoporous aluminum oxide or aluminum oxide/hydroxide is provided on a support.
