PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a new benzene derivative having a vanilloid receptor agonist activity and useful as a medicine such as a prophylactic/ therapeutic agent for pollakiuria/urinary incontinence or an analgesic agent. SOLUTION: A compound is represented by formula (I) [wherein, R1, R4and R6denote each independently hydrogen atom, a halogen atom or a hydrocarbon group; R2denotes a hydrocarbon group or a heterocyclic group; R3denotes a hydrocarbon group, an NR7'R7or an OR8(wherein, R7'denotes hydrogen atom or a hydrocarbon group; R7denotes a nonaromatic group or R7'and R7, together with the adjacent nitrogen atom, may form a ring; and R8denotes a hydrocarbon group or a heterocyclic group); R5denotes a hydrocarbon group or a heterocyclic group (except a quinolyl); R5'denotes hydrogen atom or a hydrocarbon group or R5and R5', together with the adjacent nitrogen atom, may form a ring; and R5"denotes hydrogen atom or a hydrocarbon group].
